Job summary

Contech in Pelham, AL is seeking a General Laborer to support the plant’s drainage, pipe, bridges, and stormwater projects. You will follow supervision, maintain safety, operate equipment, and help ensure finished products meet quality standards.

Candidates should have a strong work ethic, the ability to read work orders, and familiarity with hand and power tools. Outdoor work and stairs are part of the role, with overtime opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Willing and able to climb multiple stairs throughout the shift.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred – Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred – Experience operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, orderly work environment
• Operate equipment when directed.
• Ensure that all finished product meets quality standard.
• Ready and able to move 40+lbs multiple times per day.
