Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Plant Forklift Operator in Statesville, NC to safely operate and care for the forklift, locate stock, and support production schedules.

Take part in pre-shift inspections and move materials to machines, keeping storage neat and compliant. A high school diploma or GED is required; preferred candidates have forklift experience in corrugated environments and hold a Lift Truck Operator License. Pratt offers competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for forklift in a safe manner.
• Document forklift inspections before shift and when operating a new forklift; turn in maintenance orders.
• Locate stock before the start of the run.
• Deliver appropriate stock to machines safely and on time.
• Move finished goods from machines and maintain neat, safe stacks.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely; track stock location in paper and computer records.
• Maximize equipment usage and adhere to production schedules; suggest schedule optimizations.
• Assist other forklift operators as needed; prepare reports (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety, Quality).
