Job summary

EL MILAGRO is seeking a Plant Supervisor to direct daily production activities, ensure food safety and quality, and manage staffing on the plant floor. The role emphasizes adherence to GMPs, HACCP, and documentation, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will lead shifts, monitor performance, and coordinate with maintenance and quality teams, while coaching staff and enforcing company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three+ years manufacturing experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with GMPs, sanitation, and food safety documentation.
• Ability to coordinate shift staffing and communicate across departments.
• English/Spanish bilingual communication preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up, shift handoffs, line assignments, breaks, changeovers, and production closeout on the plant floor.
• Monitor throughput, downtime, waste, yield, and labor use; report variances.
• Enforce GMPs, HACCP, quality checks, and collaborate with Quality/Maintenance on deviations.
• Train and coach employees on duties, food safety, and company procedures; verify training records.
• Maintain shift logs and daily production records; communicate priorities to the next shift.
• Identify equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance; escalate safety/output problems.
• Support continuous-improvement activities to reduce waste, delays, and rework while maintaining safety and quality.
