Job summary

El Milagro in Chicago, IL is seeking a sanitation supervisor to advance our sanitation and food safety programs. You will lead a team in maintaining GMPs, HACCP-aligned practices, and cost-efficient sanitation across the facility.

The role requires strong attention to detail, urgency in risk situations, and the ability to train staff while adapting to a fast-paced production environment. We offer medical, vacation, and holiday pay as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMP’s, SOP’s, lockout/tag-out and FASMA.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent production-line changes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be self-directed with high energy and motivation to drive positive changes.
• A talent for training is desirable.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Support plant safety, food safety, and GMP adherence as a leading example.
• Support sanitation programs and regulatory compliance across facilities.
• Recommend changes to production methods to improve sanitation.
• Review sanitation procedures to ensure legal and policy compliance and assist inspectors.
• Coordinate sanitation programs, training, scheduling, and records maintenance.
• Train and lead sanitation team members to meet schedules and SOPs.
• Ensure timely completion of sanitation cleaning per schedule and SOPs.
• Manage labor efficiency, overtime, and temporary labor costs.
• Manage chemical suppliers, training needs, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance.
