Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc in Ohio is seeking a Plant Supervisor to strengthen shift operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, schedules, and standards. This hands-on role spends roughly 95% of time working within manufacturing processes.

The supervisor will coach junior leaders, lead daily shift-start planning meetings, uphold OSHA safety standards, drive efficiency, sustain Lean initiatives, manage production reporting, and quickly resolve issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 5 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Efficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Safety knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry Standards.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and Coach: Direct role model and coach to junior leaders and production line team members, fostering ownership and accountability.
• Lead Daily Planning: Direct and facilitate daily shift-start planning meetings to align the team on production goals and safety priorities.
• Uphold Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety standards and ensure equipment is functioning safely.
• Drive Efficiency: Apply proactive methods to ensure efficient execution of production plans and maximize output.
• Sustain Improvement Initiatives: Lead Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to reduce waste and boost productivity.
• Performance Analysis: Collect and distribute production reports and metrics for real-time decisions.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve: Quickly address operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Optimize Resources: Control overtime, maintenance costs, and downtime.
