Job summary

Somafina is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to support occupational health and safety across Lindon and Layton, Utah facilities. The role emphasizes hazard identification, incident investigations, and building a strong safety culture on the plant floor.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in safety/health, and strong communication skills. This is a hands-on, entry-level position with opportunities to lead safety initiatives from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience; recent grads encouraged to apply.
• BCSP progression (GSP/ASP/CSP) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility inspections and hazard management across Lindon and Layton sites.
• Develop, update and maintain safety programs and procedures.
• Coordinate employee safety training and orientation.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Track safety KPIs and report trends to HR and leadership.
