Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Amana, Iowa, seeks a Manager, Finance Operations (Plant Controller) to lead the finance team at the manufacturing facility and drive strategy and operational excellence. The role partners with engineering, procurement and manufacturing to ensure robust product costing and financial integrity.

You will guide budgeting, forecasting and cost deployment within a World Class Manufacturing framework, champion internal controls, and push for continuous financial process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years in a Manufacturing company in an Accounting/Finance role.
• CPA/CMA or MBA preferred.
• People management experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience with WCM and cost accounting background.
• Ability to understand manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical mind with trend recognition.
• Leadership and ability to influence across teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide, mentor and develop the finance team in day-to-day activities.
• Lead month-end processes, forecasts and annual plans with robust reporting.
• Develop internal controls and ensure policy compliance.
• Drive financial analysis, resource allocation, and capital management.
• Work cross-functionally to identify cost reductions and budgets.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement and manufacturing on product costing.
• Support new product development and cost deployment within WCM.
• Drive continuous improvement in plant financial processes and compliance.
• Manage plant budgets and promote accountability with operations.
• Provide direction to manufacturing leadership and corporate finance.
