Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee weekly forecasting, monthly closing, and annual budgeting for the facility, with support for other locations as needed. The role involves high-level P&L analysis and close collaboration with Plant Management, Operations, Product Line Management, and Sales to improve financial performance.

Under the Sr. Finance Director, you will drive cost efficiency, ensure controls, and provide insightful analyses to guide investment funding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Experience with an ERP system; JD Edwards is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, inventory control, and cost accounting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; able to analyze data.
• Effective communication and strong attendance record required.
• Dynamic thinker with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for adherence to Safety, GMP, Food Safety, and Plant Policies.
• Ensure internal financial controls and SOX compliance.
• Plant expert on P&L and Balance Sheet responsibilities.
• Provide weekly forecasts and manage monthly close activities.
• Responsible for annual budget preparation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records reflecting plant performance and assets.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize efficiencies and EBIT.
• Track capital and monitor adherence to policies and budget.
• Provide ad-hoc P&L analyses and cross-department support.
• Demonstrate commitment to a safe workplace and ownership.
