Job summary

Westlake is seeking a Plant Controlling Sr. Accountant to own plant accounting, P&L, and balance sheet, interfacing daily with Operations Managers and production staff to drive continuous improvement and align with corporate finance.

You will perform month-end closes, variance analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, and audit support, ensuring internal controls and accurate reporting across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 4–5+ years accounting experience.
• CPA, CMA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Cost accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with AP, General Accounting, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Cash Accounting, Financial Analysis & Reporting and multi-plant budgeting is preferred.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and GAAP in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the plant P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Close month, quarter, and year, and prepare journal entries.
• Analyze variances and prepare monthly reporting packages.
• Coordinate with plant staff to meet corporate objectives and policies.
• Support internal and external audits and improve controls.
