Job summary

Menards Inc. is seeking an entry-level accounting professional to develop and maintain financial data at the Eau Claire plant. The role covers audits, accounts payable, financial reports, inter-company reporting, inventory, and production cost reporting.

You will support month-end close and ensure data accuracy across plant operations. The ideal candidate has an accounting or finance degree, strong Excel/Office skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with plant management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Working knowledge of modern accounting methods and techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word).
• Good data entry skills.
• Clear written and spoken communication.
• Ability to collaborate with plant management.

Responsibilities

• Inventory: maintain accuracy in receiving, month end paperwork, inventory adjustments, usage, and costing.
• Accounts Payable: monthly comparison between receipts and outstanding payments; audit paperwork and unpaid invoices.
• Financial Reporting: daily production reports; complete monthly inter-company journal entries; plant scorecard summaries.
• Bill of Material Maintenance: enter new items; modify BOM based on changes to ensure accurate materials usage.
• Order Processing: enter and process orders; handle questions from Menards stores.
• Any additional accounting-related functions or special reporting projects as assigned by the Plant Controller or Plant Manager.
