Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Finance professional to maintain and report financial records for the Mapleton foundry, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate performance reporting. You will collaborate with plant leadership and the accounting center of excellence to close monthly books and drive cost-reduction initiatives.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, accuracy, and effective communication across levels of leadership, with onsite work five days a week in Mapleton, Utah.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with GAAP and financial controls preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing finance and cost reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
• Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
• Develop and use automated tools for updating, analyzing and reporting consolidated results.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to review variances, build forecasts and provide financial support.
• Manage legal entity and accountable reporting for the Mapleton foundry.
• Coordinate with accounting center of excellence for monthly reporting and closing activities.
• Support cost reduction projects and provide key financial leadership.
