Job summary

The Plant Accountant position in the United States oversees accounting activities for the plant, supporting monthly close, P&L, variance analyses, and KPI reporting. Reports to the Manufacturing Finance Manager and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate cost and financial data.

The role emphasizes detailed analysis, ERP familiarity (Oracle), and continuous learning within a manufacturing finance environment.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance required.
1–2 years of manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and pride in work output.
Excellent communication skills and desire to learn and progress in financial management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with ERP solutions such as Oracle.

Responsibilities

Ensure accuracy and completeness of plant expenses by reviewing vendor invoices and monthly reconciliations.
Analyze direct and overhead expenses monthly against budget, forecast, prior month and prior year.
Maintain inventory accuracy in receiving, month-end counts, adjustments, usage, and costing.
Maintain daily KPI report for Plant Metrics/P&L.
Perform monthly close, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Assist in quarterly budget preparation and new standard cost setting.
Capitalize fixed assets and manage related documentation.
Oversee PO process and provide ad-hoc support to management as required.
