Job summary

Beech-Nut Nutrition Company seeks a Facilities & Utilities Technician to support operation, maintenance, and reliability of plant utility systems at its Amsterdam, NY facility. You’ll work across HVAC, boilers and steam systems, compressed air, water systems, and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training in HVAC, electrical, industrial maintenance or related field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Willingness to learn and work independently or with teams.
• Ability to read manuals, drawings, schematics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain facility and utility systems (HVAC, boilers, steam, compressed air, water systems, pumps).
• Record operating and maintenance information from meters and controls; report anomalies.
• Adjust controls and start/stop equipment to maintain systems within standards.
• Troubleshoot HVAC and building systems using BMS/Metasys.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and document work in CMMS.
• Coordinate with outside service providers for specialized maintenance.
