Job summary

Glanbia Diary Nutrition in Richfield Plant is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily repairs and preventive maintenance of plant assets. You will lead the maintenance team, ensure safety and quality standards, and coordinate with operations to minimize output disruptions.

The role requires hands-on skills with dairy processing equipment, adherence to OSHA and food safety regulations, and the ability to plan, document, and communicate effectively across shifts.

Qualifications

• Familiar with dairy processing equipment and plant construction materials.
• Must be physically capable of performing assigned duties.
• Self-motivated, responsible with good decision making.
• Owner of basic hand tools and knowledge of proper use.
• Experience with epoxy and tile in industrial flooring and painting materials.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements for a manufacturing operation.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate plant equipment.
• Strong record in safety, attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to read and write instructions in English.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and CIP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant building assets and repair/maintain floors, walls, ceilings, doors.
• Maintain general facility systems including plumbing and lighting.
• Perform minor construction projects and material installations.
• Conduct general and preventative maintenance for a safe facility.
• Keep logs, records, and parts for assets updated.
• Maintain maintenance logs on assigned shift.
• Keep work area clean and orderly at all times.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained properly.
• Serve as communication channel between maintenance and operations.
• Uphold company safety practices and food safety regulations.
