Job summary

Laepple Automotive US Inc in Detroit seeks a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance programs for our manufacturing plant. You will drive preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance for all equipment, utilities, and facilities, while guiding budgeting and asset optimization.

The role requires 5–7 years in maintenance management within manufacturing, strong leadership, and proficiency with CMMS and SAP; PMP/CMRP beneficial for career growth and safety program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management or related field (or equivalent).
• 5–7 years of maintenance management experience in manufacturing, including supervisory roles.
• CMRP and PMP certifications beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, automation, and facility systems in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CMMS and data-driven maintenance planning.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practice leadership in safety programs.
• Budgeting, cost control, and vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance strategy for plant equipment, utilities, and facilities (preventive, predictive, reliability-centered).
• Lead maintenance planning and scheduling to maximize uptime and minimize downtime.
• Oversee budgets, cost controls, and spare parts optimization for long-term savings.
• Manage a team of technicians and facilities staff; recruit, train, and evaluate performance.
• Establish maintenance standards, procedures, and safety protocols in compliance with regs.
