Job summary

Specialized Talent Acquisition Recruiting Team (START) seeks an experienced maintenance lead to own reliability across buildings and equipment. You will coordinate work, set schedules, and personally execute critical maintenance to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will train staff in mechanical methods, safety, and maintenance standards while ensuring parts and tools are ready for each job and maintaining an audit-ready shop with strong 5S practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 10+ years in equipment maintenance/repair; 5+ years in a material handling or manufacturing plant.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct maintenance work across facilities, equipment, and yard.
• Build, manage, and expedite preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Train others in mechanical methods, safe work practices, and maintenance standards.
• Ensure tools, parts, and materials are kitted and available for each job.
• Uphold safety procedures; complete incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Maintain an orderly, audit-ready maintenance shop with strong 5S housekeeping.
• Escalate high-priority repairs and communicate constraints and risks.
• Stage tomorrow’s work areas and resources for an on-time start.
• Perform seasonal activities, including winter snow plowing.
• Open and close the building or yard as required.
• Adapt to business needs by starting early, staying late, or following special schedules.
