Job description

Plant Engineering Supervisor

We are looking for a Plant Engineering Supervisor to lead plant engineering staff at the Guin, AL facility. The role involves maintaining a safe and sustainable workplace, supervising staff, coordinating maintenance activities, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace through active and visible leadership.
• Providing direct supervision to assigned employees, coaching and training, and directing work to optimize resource utilization.
• Ensuring appropriate use of CMMS and other computerized maintenance records.
• Scheduling, assigning, and directing craftspeople in performance of tasks for maintenance of equipment.
• Driving preventative maintenance (PM) on-time completion process for the site.
• Acting as liaison for corrective maintenance (CM) action item updates and coordinating resource allocation to manage the CM backlog.
• Evaluating equipment and maintenance history to determine and establish appropriate PM requirements, and recommending predictive maintenance programs for optimizing effectiveness and maximizing reliability.
• Participating in the selection of new employees.
• Evaluating employees’ performance and providing feedback.
• Completing administrative forms and reports to provide necessary information relating to maintenance tasks and personnel actions.
• Additional accountabilities as assigned by Plant Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (private, public, government or military).
• High School diploma/GED or higher and 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (private, public, government or military).
• One combined year of supervisory and/or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance-related technical field or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Maximo.

Work Location: On-site Guin, AL.

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international.

Shift: Day Shift.

Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B).

Compensation: $109,202 - $133,469 (base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible).
