Job summary

3M in Nevada, MO is seeking a Plant Engineering Sr Supervisor to lead safety, asset management and maintenance excellence across the site. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive reliability and elevate plant performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher (or an Associate's with extensive experience), plus supervisory experience; travel up to 5% may be required, with relocation assistance potentially available. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 6 years in plant maintenance or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment.
• OR an Associate's degree with 8 years of plant maintenance/manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• AND two years of supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace through active and visible leadership. Assuring compliance with company policies, government and regulatory agency laws, regulations, and codes.
• Implementing and ensuring use of a Reliability Framework and Asset Management System to drive continual improvements in safety, employee engagement and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Collaborating with cross functional partners such as engineering, quality, supply chain, EHS, human resources and operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
• Leading and providing direction of Plant Engineering supervisors, and other direct reports to drive continuous improvement in plant performance and productivity.
• Implementing strategic direction on all facilities and maintenance activities for the Nevada plant.
• Determining capital requirements necessary for the plant to maintain it's ability to meet customer requirements.
• Supporting, managing and leading the maintenance team to meet overall plant and business objectives.
• Promoting 3M's Plant Engineering Human Capital Strategies that deliver operational goals for recruiting, development, retention and ultimately the technical capabilities of our workforce.

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and Six (6) years of plant maintenance and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

• Associate's degree in an Industrial Maintenance-related technical field and Eight (8) years of plant maintenance and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

AND

• Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Microsoft Office

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
