Plant Engineering Manager Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and/or repair of plant equipment and machinery. Establishes standards and policies for operating procedures and inspection of maintenance equipment.
Essential Functions
- Routine facility maintenance duties including plant electrical infrastructure, chilled water systems, HVAC and air exchange systems, facility structural maintenance, compressed air systems, and water farm systems.
- Develop monitoring systems to evaluate the health of facility maintenance.
- Coordinate all preventative maintenance systems through in-plant labor and outside services.
- Manage technicians as assigned to accomplish engineering department tasks.
- Perform technician tasks as needed to ensure ongoing positive operation of the facility, including maintaining product water and mineral injection systems, filtration, CIP tasks, ozone, filler sanitation, batching support, etc.
- Handle plant project work, including assisting with corporate project implementation, data collection initiatives, and executing plant tasks needing evaluation and corrective actions.
- Drive cost-savings projects and other initiatives aligned with company strategies.
- Be a key advocate for plant safety, promoting safety behaviors, environment, and culture. Actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
