Summary
Our award-winning client is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to join their team. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving plant-wide engineering strategy, overseeing capital projects, and advancing technical capabilities across utilities, wastewater, and ammonia systems.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position offers strong career growth potential within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 1–5 year capital investment plans in collaboration with Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams
- Lead and manage capital projects related to wastewater systems, utilities, and ammonia processes
- Oversee plant utilities, including refrigeration, ammonia, nitrogen, steam, natural gas, and compressed air, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency
- Provide technical leadership in automation, process improvement, and production design
- Support plant and division initiatives by delivering engineering expertise and project guidance
- Manage and develop the Utilities team to ensure high performance and regulatory compliance
- Partner cross-functionally to drive improvements in safety, quality, sanitation, cost control, labor relations, and customer service
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., food, pharmaceutical, chemical, or petrochemical).
- Proven experience managing capital projects involving utilities, wastewater, and/or ammonia systems.
