Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is hiring a Plant Engineering Manager for our manufacturing facility in Carrollton, TX. The Plant Engineering Manager will oversee multiple plant processes and technologies, report to the Plant Manager and work onsite at the plant.

Key responsibilities include leading maintenance, capital projects, safety programs, and cost optimization, with a focus on process improvement and EHS compliance. A BS in engineering and extensive manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent Engineering education.
• 7+ years of engineering project management and maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Process safety management (PSM) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, healthy and productive work environment for all employees through accurate maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Lead the maintenance department, control specialist, capital projects, and preventative maintenance systems.
• Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products. Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
• Lead associates, encouraging a continuous improvement of individual performance.
• Responsible for facilitating improvement projects to help drive cost reduction, process improvement, safety and compliance.
• Manage and deliver compliance with respect to our EHS management system.
• Work with the Leadership team to strengthen the overall effectiveness of the site.
