Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager for our Carrollton, TX manufacturing facility. You will manage multiple plant processes and technologies and report to the Plant Manager, working onsite at the plant.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance, capital projects and process improvements; coordinating with management, production and marketing to assess feasibility and budgets; and driving safety and compliance within our EHS framework at the site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering project management and maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering education.
• Previous management experience required.
• Process safety management (PSM) experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the maintenance department, control specialist, capital projects, and preventative maintenance systems.
• Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products. Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
• Lead associates, encouraging a continuous improvement of individual performance.
• Responsible for facilitating improvement projects to help drive cost reduction, process improvement, safety and compliance.
• Manage and deliver compliance with respect to our EHS management system.
• Work with the Leadership team to strengthen the overall effectiveness of the site.
