Job summary

Asbury Communities, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Plant Manager / Chief Engineer to oversee engineering operations for the plant’s boilers, chillers, cooling towers, mechanical, pumps, electrical, and safety systems.

This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating teams, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring regulatory compliance while managing budgets and seasonal changes. The position emphasizes strong leadership, problem-solving, and technical expertise to maintain and improve

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in engineering management.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of plant systems, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and project management.
• In‑depth knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, local safety and environmental regulations).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
• Develop and manage the engineering department budget and cost controls.
• Oversee maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Report regularly to senior management on plant performance and opportunities for improvement.
