Plant Engineer/Specialist - Boiler Systems

Overview of the Role:
Join an established power generation facility as a Plant Engineer/Specialist focusing on boiler systems. In this critical role, you'll ensure the efficient and safe operation of coal-fired power generation equipment while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and coordinate installation of new and replacement boiler equipment
  • Create construction drawings and specifications for plant process equipment
  • Troubleshoot existing systems to resolve safety and production challenges
  • Monitor boiler operating conditions and manage maintenance activities
  • Analyze plant data and recommend efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with consultants and contractors to accomplish engineering objectives
  • Identify technical training needs and initiate capital and O&M projects
  • Ensure safety compliance and regulatory adherence

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Plant Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Plant Specialist: Associate degree in an applicable technical field (welding background preferred)
  • 2-5 years' experience in a power plant setting (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with coal-fired power generation systems (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with engineering software and documentation systems
