Job summary
Hydro Extrusions in North America is seeking a Plant Engineer to support operation and maintenance of the aluminum casting plant. You will lead projects, collaborate with production and maintenance teams, and focus on reliability, energy efficiency, and safety while expanding asset life.
You will develop, manage and implement improvements across PLC controls, hydraulics and pneumatics, and will mentor technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical).
- At least 5 years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience applying reliability engineering principles to improve equipment performance.
- Experience partnering with production and maintenance teams to improve throughput and implement improvements.
Responsibilities
- Implements project improvements that drive manufacturing performance in speed, waste reduction, cost reduction and quality.
- Manages engineering budgets, forecasts, and plans.
- Leads plant improvement projects from planning through implementation.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues and recommends resolutions.
- Ensures improvements comply with environmental laws.
