Job summary

Gold Bond Building Products, LLC in the United States is seeking a Plant Engineer to ensure proper installation and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities for safe, efficient operation. The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires up to 25% travel; hybrid work is ineligible.

The position combines project and process engineering responsibilities, including capital budget support, equipment installation, SOP/PM development, and coordination with engineering divisions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred or, equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of two years manufacturing experience.
• Strong competency in PLC programming, AutoCAD, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of industrial electricity (power distribution, motor controls, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, possess leadership and training skills.
• Domestic travel up to 25%.
• Ineligible for hybrid work.
• Physical ability to access all plant areas and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Act as both a Project and Process Engineer for the plant and support the maintenance manager and the maintenance department’s efforts.
• Assist in preparation of capital budgets by recommending projects, preparing appropriation requests, and obtaining competitive prices and/or bids.
• Manage and complete Capital budget projects on-time and under budget.
• Complete installation of project equipment, training for operations and maintenance personnel, and develop SOPs and PMs.
• Coordinate with Division Engineering on projects needing engineering assistance.
• Prepare annual facility audit to assess buildings, grounds, and equipment, and set priorities and timelines.
