Job summary

LSC Environmental Products, LLC seeks a Plant Engineer to lead process capability, pneumatic conveying, controls strategy, and capital improvements at the Lenoir site. You will drive data-driven problem solving, set operating standards, and guide SCADA and instrumentation initiatives on the manufacturing floor.

This role emphasizes hardware-focused engineering, collaboration with Operations and Maintenance, and the rollout of standardized processes to improve throughput, yield and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant engineering field.
• 10+ years of hands-on process or plant engineering experience.
• Experience with pneumatic conveying and bulk-material handling.
• Knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Establish baseline capability and operating windows for major processes.
• Lead problem solving and root cause investigations with data.
• Optimize pneumatic conveying and material flow, balance moisture and drying.
• Define critical parameters, setpoints, and control limits.
• Partner with Operations to translate findings into standards and training.
• Own site control philosophy and measurement strategy for PLC/HMI/VFD.
• Troubleshoot controls and guide integrators on changes.
• Build data-driven insights for throughput, downtime, and performance.
• Lead design and implementation of site-wide SCADA system.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and justifications.
• Manage suppliers, contractors, and startup/turnover activities.
• Train operators and maintenance staff for sustained improvements.
