Job description

We are seeking a Plant Engineer Mechanic in a Food and Beverage Facility to join our team! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and optimize food processing machinery and industrial equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on production lines.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP standards.
• Operate and maintain automation systems, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process workflows.
• Handle forklift operations (certification required).
• Assist with facility upgrades, sanitary welding, and infrastructure improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Food Engineering.
• ASE Certification.
• Technical certifications in equipment maintenance, automation, or food safety.
• Hands-on experience in food processing machinery or related fields.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic/troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with industrial tools, automation systems, and equipment handling.
• Basic computer knowledge (PC or Mac) is a plus.
• OSHA safety training and knowledge of workplace compliance.
• Ability to handle physical workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
