Job summary

DSJ Global's client, a leading food manufacturing organization, seeks a Plant Engineering Specialist to drive continuous improvement, capital project execution, maintenance excellence, and operational performance at a high‑volume facility.

You will partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to identify opportunities, analyze data, implement solutions, and lead projects from concept to start‑up and verification.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (food/packaging preferred).
• Experience leading projects and driving operational improvements in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing, packaging, distribution, and utility operations.
• Analyze production and process data to identify inefficiencies and performance gaps.
• Lead initiatives on waste reduction, productivity improvements, and labor optimization.
• Develop and implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and operational enhancements.
• Coordinate capital and non-capital projects from concept through startup and validation.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to maintenance technicians and operators.
