Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Plastics, Manufacturing or equivalent).
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
• Coding or programming experience is a plus.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with problem solving terms and tools.
• Highly proficient with MS Office tools.
• Ability to leverage data to drive decisions and project focus.
• Ability and willingness to travel (<10%).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.
• Analyze plant equipment and processes to improve performance.
• Identify operational gaps and advise local management.
• Lead plant projects to decrease cost, improve safety, or improve equipment efficiency.
• Collaborate with peers to share best practices.
• Review and improve standards using PDCA methodology.
• Perform risk assessments of new equipment with Safety Team.
• Apply OSHA and company safety requirements to tasks and projects.
• Support Safety Manager with audits and improvements.
• Drive labor reduction initiatives and develop technology to achieve.
• Perform R&D on cutting-edge technologies to improve operations.
• Ensure automation is fully utilized to maximize ROI.
• Plan projects with cost/resource details and manage vendors.
• Develop work instructions and training material for new equipment.
