Job summary

EMP Trust HR Solutions is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to lead engineering and maintenance teams within our rice milling operations. This role partners with operations to maintain efficient processes while upholding safety and food safety standards, and oversees both capital budgets and repair expenses.

• Ability to ride man-lifts and climb heights up to 200 feet.
• Comfort in extreme temperatures; PPE use and safety policies adherence.

Description/Job Summary SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION Job Summary:

The Plant Engineering Manager will direct engineering and maintenance teams within the rice milling operations. This position will work with the operations team to keep processes efficient while helping maintain safety and food safety. Responsible for both capital budgets and repair expenses.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must possess a minimum of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Biological related field from a 4-year accredited university or college.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess working knowledge of computers.
• Must be willing and able to travel as needed. Most travel is withing 150-mile radius of main office.
• Must be willing and able to bend, stoop, twist, turn, push, pull and crawl throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to ride man-lifts.
• Must be willing and able to climb to and work at heights up to 200 feet.
• Must be willing and able to work in hot and cold temperatures for long periods of time.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
• Must be willing and able to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Must be willing and able to follow safety and food safety policies.
• Other duties as requested by manager.

Preferences:

• Knowledge and use of Microsoft programs, spreadsheets, database, scheduling programs, PLC's and familiarity with current drafting software.
• Previous experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• 2 Years of Engineering or Maintenance Management experience.
