We produce quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise, and sauces. Formed in October 2008 as a 50/50 joint venture between ACH Food Companies (ACH) and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), our manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Hillside, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. Job Description

The Plant Engineer provides engineering support for the plant, including project implementation, production and equipment improvement initiatives, and supporting daily operations to ensure safety and quality goals are achieved.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage projects, purchase supplies, and supervise contractors to ensure timely completion within budget.
  2. Provide safety and quality training to contractors.
  3. Offer technical support for plant processes and improvements.
  4. Maintain daily communication with production and maintenance teams.
  5. Participate in daily production and quality meetings.
  6. Assist management with regulatory compliance training.
  7. Observe facility operations and assist with problem-solving regularly.
  8. Enforce GMP and HACCP requirements.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
Qualifications
  • Education: BS degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college/university; Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical preferred.
  • Experience: Proven engineering experience of 5+ years with a record in technical/maintenance troubleshooting and project work.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management tools like Microsoft Project, and basic understanding of Allen Bradley PLC. Knowledge of CMMS such as MP2 is a plus.
  • Certifications: None required; maintenance-related licenses like PE, ASME welding, PLC certifications, wastewater, etc., are advantageous.
Competencies
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to identify improvement areas and develop corrective plans.
  • Skilled in creating sketches, drawings, and plans for maintenance and repair.
  • Participative team attitude to ensure safety, sanitation, and production standards.
  • Proficient in ammonia refrigeration, steam generation, and PLCs.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Additional Information

Physical: Ability to walk across the facility, climb stairs/ladders, and work in varying temperatures.

Sensory: Good hearing, sight, speech, smell, and touch are necessary.

Mental/Reasoning: Basic problem-solving skills are essential.
