SUMMARY: Provides engineering duties as assigned by Plant Manager and/or Operations Director. Responsible for overseeing new equipment installations as well as modifications to existing equipment to enhance productivity within the plant. Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues affecting manufacturing productivity. Involved in process improvements and providing input in production problem-solving. Manage the maintenance department, providing guidance, instruction, and oversight.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and four to ten years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, and regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Effective presentation skills to groups of managers, clients, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Capable of applying mathematical operations to tasks like frequency distribution, reliability analysis, ANOVA, correlation, sampling, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle multiple variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly use hands, talk, hear; frequently sit and reach; occasionally stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Must lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
