Job summary

General Shale, Inc. at the Elgin TX Plant is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant-wide electrical systems, ensuring reliable production and safety.

You will maintain and update electrical prints, store secure PLC program copies, manage inventory of electrical parts, and perform mechanical repairs and fabrication as needed. Design and implement electrical control solutions when required, keep the work area clean and organized, and support

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Post-secondary technical training or equivalent preferred.
Electrical and PLC training preferred.
Five (5) years of electrical maintenance experience preferred.
Working knowledge of PLCs strongly desired.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, PLC-controlled, and automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems plant-wide.
Maintain and update electrical prints and ensure secure copies of all PLC programs are stored in both the electrical shop and main office.
Manage inventory and maintain adequate supply of electrical parts.
Perform mechanical repairs and fabrication as needed.
Design and create electrical control systems when required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area at all times.
Take on additional assignments as needed to support plant operations.
