Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Electrical Technician at the Sparrows Point Cement Plant, MD. The role focuses on troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant electrical equipment to support 24/7 operations.

You will work under the electrical supervisor, handle projects, and ensure safety and reliability of systems across the facility. On-call responsibilities and the need to read plans are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the electrical field in cement manufacturing or related industry.
• Must be able to meet on-call responsibilities and emergency call-out for 24/7 operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements, including respirator use where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair and maintain plant electrical, instrumentation and electronic equipment.
• Complete projects as assigned by electrical supervisor or department manager.
• Generate and follow work orders; document history and solutions.
• Train contractors as needed and supervise when required.
• Read plans, drawings and manuals to aid problem solving.
• Promote a culture of health, safety and environmental compliance.
