Job summary

Enviva is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead the electrical team in a wood bioenergy production facility. You will oversee troubleshooting, repair of electrical, controls, and some mechanical aspects, and provide technical support to the Production team to improve uptime, quality, energy use, and safety.

The role requires coordinating shifts, training staff, and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local codes.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years manufacturing experience.
• At least four years of electrical experience.
• Must demonstrate electrical aptitude and experience with high voltages (480V to 4160V).
• Ability to carry out operations safely and efficiently; utilize assigned appliances and tools.
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
• Ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules.
• Willing and able to maintain and enforce strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Organizes a team of electricians involved in various craft specialties, with input on evaluations and weekly time approval.
• Manage shift schedules including station assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime, and back-up coverage.
• Diagnose, delegate, instruct, and perform maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain equipment per codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair ENI, HMI, PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and instrumentation.
• Create and manage work orders and prioritize tasks.
• Monitor production parameters and adjust for safe, efficient performance.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and improvements for OEE targets.
• Identify corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Supervise, train, and coach staff for productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Coordinate shutdowns and conduct shift meetings.
• Maintain reporting, records, schematics, inspections, and confined space monitors.
