Overview

Our client is originally a leading North American enterprise specializing in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry with a history of more than 30 years, with a robust global presence. The company has expanded its footprint into the Chinese market for more than 15 years, establishing manufacturing centers in both Eastern and Southern China to serve the industrial and commercial sectors. Now, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Director to oversee operations at the USA manufacturing facility.

Position Title: Plant Director
Location: USA
Reports To: COO

Responsibilities
  • Factory Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Canadian plant, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, production targets, and quality standards.
  • Production & Operations: Lead production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer demands.
  • Quality Management: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control systems to ensure product excellence and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASHRAE).
  • Engineering & Innovation: Collaborate with engineering teams to drive process improvements, automation, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, control expenses, and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining profitability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with global headquarters, suppliers, and customers to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, environmental regulations) and promote a zero-harm workplace.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably within the HVAC, mechanical systems, or related industrial sector.
  • Proven track record in plant management, including production, operations, and quality assurance.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation with exposure to global supply chains and cross-cultural teams.
  • Skills:
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze data for decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.
