Job summary

Honeywell Building Automation in Northford, Connecticut seeks a Plant Director to lead one of its largest manufacturing and distribution sites, delivering fire, life safety, and building-management solutions to customers worldwide.

Qualifications

Job description

As a Plant Director within Honeywell Building Automation, you will lead one of the organization's largest and most strategic manufacturing operations. Based in Northford, Connecticut, you will have overall responsibility for a flagship site that manufactures and distributes critical fire, life safety, and building management solutions serving customers around the world.

This role requires an exceptional operational leader capable of driving world-class manufacturing performance while leading large-scale transformation initiatives across operations, quality, supply chain, safety, and continuous improvement. You will lead a sizable team through multiple levels of leadership and partner across functions to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth.

The successful candidate will combine strong manufacturing leadership experience with a passion for people development, culture transformation, and driving measurable business results in a complex, high-volume production environment.

  • Ensure regulatory, environmental, safety, and compliance requirements are consistently met.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, business leaders, and key stakeholders across Honeywell.
  • Establish succession plans and talent strategies that strengthen organizational capability and leadership depth.
  • Drive capital investment planning and execution to support future business growth and manufacturing excellence.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum 10 years of operational plant management experience
  • Demonstrated success driving operational transformation and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.

  • Proven success in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, supply chain operations, planning, sourcing, and manufacturing execution.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Supply Chain disciplines.

The annual base salary range for this position is $179,000-225,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is eligible for Honeywell's Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) program and includes a relocation assistance package for qualified candidates.
