Job summary

General Motors in Marion, Indiana is hiring a Manufacturing Cybersecurity Engineer to help implement and sustain the Manufacturing Cybersecurity Program at the plant. This onsite role collaborates with plant operations, IT, cybersecurity teams, suppliers, and global partners to reduce risk while maintaining production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in cybersecurity, CS, IT, or engineering.
• 1+ years in cybersecurity, automotive or manufacturing environments or related areas.
• Degree alternative: 5 years of relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, vulnerability management, incident response and recovery.
• Experience identifying and remediating cybersecurity issues with minimal disruption.

Responsibilities

• Implement and sustain the Manufacturing Cybersecurity Program at the plant.
• Remediate endpoint security issues and vulnerabilities and coordinate with teams.
• Support incident response, investigations, and recovery activities.
• Conduct cybersecurity readiness assessments for initiatives and launches.
• Coordinate work plans, resources, schedules, and dependencies.
• Communicate status, risks, and downtime impacts to leadership and stakeholders.
• Document assessments, remediation actions, and operating procedures.
• Track open issues through resolution and report risks and impacts.
