Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Cybersecurity professional to lead and sustain the Manufacturing Cybersecurity Program at the Lansing, MI site. You will help reduce risk while preserving production continuity through remediation, incident response support, and readiness activities.

Reporting onsite, you will collaborate with plant operations, IT, cybersecurity, suppliers, and global teams to implement effective controls, patching, and firmware updates for production-critical OT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; 5+ years of relevant experience can substitute.
• Experience in cybersecurity practices for manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and communicate risk clearly.

Responsibilities

• Implement and sustain the Manufacturing Cybersecurity Program at the Lansing plant.
• Identify, prioritize, and remediate endpoint security issues and vulnerabilities.
• Support cybersecurity incident response, investigations, and recovery activities.
• Conduct readiness assessments for new initiatives, pilots, launches, and post-launch ops.
• Coordinate site readiness, resources, schedules, dependencies, and open issues.
• Partner with plant ops, IT, cybersecurity, suppliers, and global teams on controls.
• Apply patching and firmware-update practices for production-critical OT assets.
• Communicate status, risks, downtime impacts, and remediation plans to leadership.
• Help identify and resolve issues while minimizing manufacturing disruption.
• Document assessments, remediation actions, and operating procedures.
• Track open issues through resolution and escalate risks as needed.
• Support continuous improvement of plant cybersecurity processes.
