Job summary

Grinnell College is seeking a dormitory cleaner to maintain all common areas across campus during the academic year. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, lounges, kitchens, stairs, and related facilities.

During summer breaks, the role expands to deeper cleaning of student bedrooms, floor work, and accommodating program guests, with some outdoor work at entrances and snow removal. The position supports a safe, clean living and learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than six months of work experience.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Dormitory cleaning: All common areas in the dorm are routinelycleaned during the academic school year. These areas includebathrooms, lounges, kitchens, stairs, etc. More in depth cleaningis done during summer breaks including student bedrooms, more floorwork and accommodating summer program guests. Some outside work isdone at door entrances, loggia glass and shoveling snow. Alsocleaning is done in educational and administrative buildings toinclude, bathrooms, break rooms. offices, stairs, etc.
