Job summary

Doble Engineering Company, based in Accident, MD, seeks a Plant Accounting Manager to lead all cost and inventory accounting at the Accident facility. Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing and cost accounting.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred (consumer products/industrial/process).
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, COGS analysis, variance analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
• Experience supporting physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory control processes.
• ERP experience; SAP or Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant manufacturing accounting activities including inventory valuation and standard costing.
• Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes for accurate reporting.
• Analyze manufacturing performance through variances in labor, material, overhead, and yield.
• Ensure inventory accounting integrity and cost allocations.
• Oversee physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement to improve cost visibility.
• Provide actionable financial analysis to support operations and strategy.
