The role bridges operations and finance through inventory controls, standard costing, variance analysis, and plant-level reporting. The ideal candidate will work on the production floor and in financial systems, identify process gaps, drive corrective actions, and improve financial controls and manufacturing performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in cost accounting, plant finance, or manufacturing accounting.
• Ability to travel between Baltimore, MD and Hanover, MD campuses.
• Experience maintaining manufacturing standards and investigating inventory discrepancies.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, variances, and manufacturing accruals.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain standard costs within the ERP system.
• Analyze monthly net variances and explain operational drivers.
• Provide plant-level financial analysis and reporting to leadership.
• Lead regular reporting and reviews with Operations.
• Translate financial results into actionable operational improvements.
