Job summary

Senneca is seeking an energetic Plant Controller for the Mankato, MN plant with responsibility for P&L and balance sheet, and oversight of all accounting functions. The role partners with Plant Manager to identify financial and operational risks and opportunities.

Occasional travel to Cincinnati is required. Ideal candidates have direct Manufacturing Plant Controller experience, strong cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CMA/CPA beneficial but not mandatory.
• Minimum 5+ years in intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• 3+ years in accounting/finance, preferably manufacturing.
• ERP experience required; implementation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger balances.
• Assess internal controls and conduct risk reviews.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses.
• Assist in budgeting and forecast preparation.
• Maintain fixed assets schedules and asset/liability accounts.
• Provide financial reporting and SOPs for accounting policies.
• Support Cincinnati facility with monthly travel and on-site engagement.
