Job summary

Senneca Holdings seeks an energetic Plant Controller for the Mankato, MN facility with responsibility for plant P&L and balance sheet. You will partner with Plant Manager to identify financial and operational risks and opportunities, overseeing all accounting functions for the plant and supporting the Cincinnati site with monthly travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
• CMA and/or CPA certification beneficial.
• 5+ years’ experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliation for audit.
• 3+ years accounting/finance experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Direct Manufacturing Plant Controller experience strongly preferred.
• ERP experience with potential implementation involvement.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments.
• Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement, and budget variance analyses.
• Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for management review.
• Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.
• Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts from documentation.
• Summarize financial status and reports including P&L and other statements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local protocols and laws.
• Develop SOPs for accounting policy and procedures and roll out reconciliations.
• Support Cincinnati facility with monthly on-site engagement and reviews.
