Job summary

Leggett & Platt, Inc. seeks a Plant Controller in Manufacturing Finance to ensure the integrity of the manufacturing cost model and to serve as the financial business partner to plant operations.

The role manages master data such as BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead structures within the ERP system. The successful candidate will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sales, and IT to improve costing accuracy, profitability, and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, cost accounting, and inventory valuation.
• Experience with ERP master data, BOMs, routings, labor standards.
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills; ability to influence across functions.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrity of the manufacturing cost model and master data governance.
• Lead standard cost development, annual cost rolls, and ongoing cost maintenance.
• Develop processes to improve costing accuracy and data sustainability.
• Analyze variances and identify profitability improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sales, and IT for data accuracy and decision support.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, inventory valuation, budgeting and annual plans.
