Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance to lead the integrity of the manufacturing cost model and act as the financial partner to plant operations. You will own master data such as BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead, working with Engineering, Operations, and IT to improve costing accuracy and profitability.

The role collaborates on financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting activities, with a path toward broader leadership responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong costing knowledge: standard costing, inventory valuation, and ERP master data.
• Analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams in Operations and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrity of manufacturing cost model and standard costs.
• Govern BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead in ERP master data.
• Lead cost development, annual cost rolls, and maintenance.
• Develop governance for engineering/manufacturing changes in ERP.
• Drive cost accuracy, profitability analytics, and KPI dashboards.
