Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak in Cheyenne, Wyoming, seeks a Plant Controller / Senior Cost Controller to lead financial management for the facility. You will work with Plant Manager and VP Controlling to oversee costing, budgeting, and performance reporting in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include month-end close, profitability analysis by product, cost control initiatives, and coordinating with Purchasing, HR, and Sales.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or business; CPA/CMA asset.
• Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
• Understanding of cost accounting methodologies.
• Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with ERP systems – SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end procedures and internal management reports.
• Analyze profitability by product, project and customer.
• Own monthly financial reviews with CFO, VP Controlling and Plant Manager.
• Support cost saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Prepare budgets and monitor actuals vs. budget; develop quarterly revenue forecasts.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, HR and Sales to optimize cost and overhead.
