Job summary

LHH US is recruiting a Plant Controller for a mid-sized manufacturing client in Queens, NY. The role manages general and cost accounting, reporting, and a three-person team, with heavy involvement in month-end close and budgeting.

It is an on-site position offering $130,000-$150,000 plus bonus and a strong benefits package. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 10+ years of accounting experience (CPA a plus), and proven leadership in aerospace/defense/electronics manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience required, CPA a plus.
• Experience in aerospace/defense/electronics manufacturing is a must.
• 3+ years of management experience required.
• Strong ERP experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for the plant.
• Oversee a team of three.
• Evaluate current processes and propose improvements.
• Lead month-end close, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist outside auditors with year-end audits.
