Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in cost accounting.
• Proven experience in manufacturing; experience in the defense industry is highly desirable.
• At least 10 years in a leadership or supervisory role with strong team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting for corporate and government stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, FAR, and other regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to support organizational growth.
• Leadership & Talent Development.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team.
• Manage departmental staffing, performance evaluations, and succession planning.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Cost Accounting & Analysis.
• Analyze cost variances, including PPV, labor productivity, and overhead absorption.
• Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Evaluate inventory valuation and reserve requirements.
• Conduct cost modeling and scenario planning for strategic initiatives.
• Business Partnership & Strategic Planning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including operations and engineering, to drive efficiency.
• Serve as a key advisor on unit performance, budgeting, and investment planning.
• Support capital expenditure plans and manage the Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) process.
• Optimize working capital, inventory levels, and liquidity planning.
• Deliver rolling cash forecasts and provide actionable insights to leadership.
